Специалисты Hyundai Motor Group разработали новую подушку безопасности, предназначенную для разделения пространства между водителем и пассажиром в случае дорожно-транспортного происшествия.

Согласно статистическим данным Ассоциации европейских автопроизводителей, уровень вторичных повреждений во время аварий в результате столкновений водителя и пассажира на переднем сиденье или ударов об элементы интерьера составляет около 45 %. Разработанная в Hyundai центральная подушка безопасности, по оценкам, на 80 % уменьшит количество травм головы, вызванных столкновениями водителя и пассажира.

Новая подушка прячется внутри сиденья водителя. Вес изделия составляет всего 500 граммов, что не слишком сильно влияет на общую массу кресла современной машины.

Во время удара подушка раскрывается в пространстве между водителем и передним пассажиром, уберегая их от черепно-мозговых травм. Если на переднем пассажирском сиденье никого нет, то подушка защитит водителя от бокового столкновения с правой стороны.
