По информации журналистов, в вечер субботы предприниматель решил отправиться в ресторан Nobu в Малибу на своём пикапе Tesla Cybertruck в компании со своими друзьями: певицей Граймс (Grimes) и директором Tesla по дизайну Францем фон Хольцхаузеном (Franz von Holzhausen). Отмечается, что после ужина Маск показал машину голливудскому актёру Эдварду Нортону (Edward Norton).


По данным издания Electrek, это первый случай, когда данный пикап появился на улицах калифорнийского мегаполиса. Напомним, ранее один из пользователей Instagram заметил прототип Tesla Cybertruck в Хоторне, где находится главная дизайнерская студия Tesla.

Первая версия пикапа будет доступна в конце 2021 года. Компания начала приём заявок на резервирование его покупки. Для этого достаточно внести на депозит $100. Илон Маск сообщил в Твиттере 27 ноября, что число заказов на новинку достигло 250 тысяч.
